The 174 Battalion of the Nigerian Army and the Ikorodu Local Government have united to introduce a much-needed health initiative to the residents of Ikorodu.

Tagged “Exercise Still Waters 2023,” the free medical program unfolded its services at the Alaka Fuel Station, Along Itamaga Road, Sabo, eliciting heartfelt appreciation from the local community.

A significant turnout of Ikorodu residents showcased the success of the program, as they eagerly seized the opportunity to benefit from a spectrum of medical services provided during the outreach.

From check-ups to consultations and the provision of essential medications, all services were rendered free of charge.

Commendations poured in from beneficiaries, expressing gratitude for the timely and impactful initiative that addressed critical health needs within the community.

Regrettably, Hon. Wasiu Adesina, the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, couldn’t attend the event in person. However, his presence was well represented by Alhaji Lateef Afinni, the Secretary to the local government (SLG).

In an official statement, Alhaji Afinni characterized the program as a December support aid, emphasizing the importance of prioritizing health amid the hustle and bustle of the holiday season.

The “Exercise Still Waters” initiative stands as a testament to the unwavering commitment of both the 174 Battalion and the Ikorodu Local Government towards the well-being of the community.
