The Chairman House Committee of Sustainable Development Goals and legislator representing Epe Federal Constituency, Rep. Wale Raji has handed over block of three classrooms to the community leaders and management of UPE Primary School Imokun.
Wale Raji who was represented by his Senior Legislative Aide on Politics, Mr Seriki Stephen Omobowale said he yielded to a call from the community leaders and God gave him the opportunity to address the need. He urged the school management and community leaders to take ownership of the building. He restated his commitment to educational and overall development of Epe Federal Constituency through different projects and initiatives that will have a direct bearing on the lives of the people and communities.
The Chairman of Eredo Local Council Development Area, Mr. Monsuru Akinloye expressed his sincere appreciation to Rep. Wale Raji for the numerous projects he has attracted to Eredo LCDA and other parts of Epe Federal Constituency. He said the legislator has set an unprecedented pace of impact that will forever be appreciated by all development loving residents. On sighting the dilapidated dining area of the school, the chairman quickly called on his team to reconstruct a befitting dining hall for the school.
Mrs Oladunjoye Stella, member of Eredo APC Apex and Wale Raji Think Tank Committee said Wale Raji has distinguished himself in the service of the people especially in the area of education. She urged other public officers to also learn from the legislator and rededicate themselves in meeting the yearnings of their people.
Speaking on behalf of the school and community, Mr Akano (Headmistress) and Alhaja Olufowobi thanked the House of Representatives member for providing the building which will provide more space for pupils who hitherto were merged in classes. They promised to take ownership of the project and protect it. They however requested for fencing of the school which they say is usually invaded by miscreants after school hours due to the absence of fence.
In his closing remarks, the Education Secretary of Epe LGEA, Otunba Shittu Aliu thanked Wale Raji for his consistent dedication to Education development in Epe Federal Constituency and urged him not to relent.
