The Founder of By His Grace Given Widows Foundation, Mrs. Victoria Idowu an American based, has distributed food items to widows in Ojokoro Local Council Development Area over the weekend.
Mrs.Victoria provided palliative food items, including rice, garri, and semovita, to one hundred (100) widows from different communities within the LCDA at the secretariat.
She expressed her appreciation to the Council Chairman for supporting her Foundation in the effort to lend a helping hand to the less privileged in society, particularly the widows.
She further pledged that her charity will keep working with Ojokoro LCDA to support the underprivileged in the community to end poverty.
The Chairman of the Council Mr. Hammed Tijani who was represented by his wife Mrs. Motunrayo Tijani commended the foundation for reaching out to widows in the LCDA.
The Chairman said his administration will continue to collaborate with well-meaning individuals and corporate organizations to bring succor to the people, to cushion the effect of fuel subsidy removal by the federal government.
She advised widows on the need to pay attention to their health and avoid the indiscriminate use of drugs without a doctor’s prescription.
