RRS Nabs Highway Robber At Anthony Area
The Lagos Rapid Response Squad has arranged one Adepoju Alaba while trying to dispossess a motorist of his mobile phone, wallet and passport at Anthony area of Lagos.
The 46-year-old suspect attacked the car owner as the vehicle broke down in the area Tuesday night while he was going to the international Airport with his wife.
Alaba and an accomplice, now at large, while assisting the man tried to dispossess him of his valuables.
The motorist, on sighting RRS operatives who were on distress call to Mile 2, flagged them down. One of the suspects was arrested while the other escaped.
The operatives assisted the motorist and his wife to repair their vehicle and ensured they proceeded on their journey before heading to Mile 2.
The suspect has confessed and pleaded for leniency. He has been charged to court.
