The Nigeria Premier League (NPL) has revealed a nine man committee that will be in charge of selecting the NPL team of the month.
The team of the month will consist of 11 starters, a coach and seven other players that will make up the bench.
The chairman of NPL, Gbenga Elegbeleye said the purpose of this motive is to encourage
the young lads to elevate their style of play and encouraged the coaches to always seek for knowledge.
“We seek to elevate the quality of play and also encourage the Coaches to dig deep and offer great formations,” Elegbeleye was quoted by Brace Radio.
“With the Team of the week, players would offer their very best to make the squad and with time there will be individual and collective benefits from this”
The NPL committee saddled with the naming of the team of the month are, Daniel Amokachi with respected Journalists, Mitchel Obi, Segun Agbede and Deji Omotoyinbo.
Other members of the Committee include NFF Technical Director, Austin Eguavoen, Coach Manu Garba, Harrison Kalla, Coach Godwin Uwauh and Davidson Adejuwon, a former Director of defunct NPFL side, MFN.
