A Yoruba intelligent unit, Apapo Oodua Koya, AOKOYA, has disclosed that the Lagos Labour Party governorship candidate, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour joined the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB in 2016.

The group said this in a statement signed by its leader, Col. Abimbola Sowunmi, a copy of which was made available to our correspondent.

IPOB has been declared as a terrorist group by the Federal Government of Nigeria and its leader, Mr. Nnamdi Kanu is still in the custody of the Department of State Security Service.

It said, “In the past few months, we have tried to dig up information on the Labour Candidate Gubernatorial candidate in Lagos.
Not that we believe in the Nigerian elections but AOKOYA took the decision to dig up information about him for Yoruba Strategic Interest.”

The group stated that Gbadebo joined IPOB in Onitsha in 2016 and was the leader of the terrorist group for two years before moving to Lagos to contest for political office.

According to the statement, Gbadebo has good education having attended elite primary school beginning from Christland in Lagos, Nottingham and Paris plus University of Lagos.

It said that the LP governorship candidate was born out of wedlock and was in the custody of his mother in Anambra State.

The statement noted that Gbadebo’s other names are Chinedu, Ekweremadu and Okafor while his wife name is Nkechi from Abia State.

AOKOYA said that Gbadebo is driven by hate against his father for refusing to accept him initially and by implication against the Yoruba, the tribe of his paternal ethnic group. “He is blood bound with his mother and Igbo, his real identity”, it said.

The group disclosed that five Labour Party candidates were presented to Mr Peter Obi to lead Lagos but he insisted on Gbadebo Chinedu and rejected the other four, being fully Yoruba all from Lagos Island. “The reason is because Chinedu who speaks Igbo fluently is from Anambra, the birthplace of Peter Obi,” it said.

According to the group, Chinedu held series of meetings with the IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu, in London.

The statement revealed that many IPOB members and Igbos transferred their PVCs to Lagos State to support Gbadebo.

“Some came from West Africa sub region to register in Lagos as voters. The Igbo hold constant secret meetings mobilising for Gbadebo.
