SHEROES CUP 22: Nasarawa Amazons storms Abuja

Nasarawa Amazons will be up against Confluence Queens on Friday the 4th of November 2022 by 10am as Adamawa Queens and Royal Queens FC are paired for the curtain raiser of the tournament scheduled to kickoff by 8am.

The Amazons of Lafia, Nasarawa state, who finished second in the 2021/2022 season of the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership

will use this year’s edition of the Sheroes Cup pre-season tournament as a platform for their preparation for the forthcoming season, as it players are to be blended and fine tuned for the new season.

The coach Christopher Danjuma led Nasarawa Amazons are set for the tournament as the team is being fortified ahead of the new season in their quest to challenge for the league title and continental place.

Nasarawa Amazons FC have been part of RSDF pre-season tournament since it’s inception in 2019 in Makurdi, Benue State. Nasarawa Amazons were first runners up in the maiden edition, and the second edition. They were knocked out at quarter finals in the 3rd edition.

In this year’s edition, a total of eight teams registered for the tournament. They are NasarawaAmazons FC, Edo Queens FC, Delta Queens FC, Heartland Queens FC, and Confluence Queens FC. Others are Adamawa Queens FC,Royal Queens FC, and the host team Naija Ratel FC.
