I’m here to secure the community – New Ejigbo DPO

The newly deplored Divisional Police Officer (DPO) to Ejigbo Police Division, CSP Thomas Funsho, has declared total commitment towards ensuring the safety of lives and properties in the Ejigbo community.

Funso, who took over from CSP Akinsola Ogunwale, had served in five other police stations in Lagos State in the same capacity before coming to Ejigbo.

He pledged to restore people’s trust in the police to actualise the familiar ‘police is your friend’ quote.

He said he will embrace community policing by collaborating with security guards in each community to ensure the safety of the people.

He charged the community to always secure their properties with security gadgets such as padlocks and theft alarms.

However, he said the police will be up and doing and be available in the community to track robbers and other hoodlums terrorising society.

He, therefore, encouraged residents to promptly report any criminal case at the station and inform the police of any suspected crime in their communities.
