The All Progressives Congress (APC) chairmanship candidate in Isolo LCDA, Hon. Bayo Olasoju and his wife, Mrs. Olajumoke Olasoju were the first set of electorate who cast their votes at polling unit 09, Holy Saviour, Alagbeji Ward in Isolo.
Speaking with journalists after casting his vote, Olasoju commended the free, fair and peaceful conduct of the electoral officers and the electorate, saying he was expecting the same at all polling units in the council area.
He boasted that his party would win the election having done the right things to win the full support of the people in the community.
Olasoju, who cast his vote at 9:36am, was hopeful that more people would come out to vote for his party.
He said: “The process is fair as you can see the first thing they did was to identify the two party agents that are present here after that the ballot papers were counted after that we were accredited and you’ll go and cast your votes and that’s to tell you that the process here is free and fair.
“Everybody is comporting themselves in the maximum way of comportment and my expectation is that APC will come out victorious.
“I urge everyone to come out and exercise their civic rights, there won’t be excuses if anything happens along the line because casting our votes now means we are ready and we want this government.
“People will still come out because we’ve just started, they will come out in their numbers. I have confidence that the election will be free and fair in Isolo, it will be violent free and we’ve done everything humanly possible to be 100% ready and we will come out victorious.”
“The process is flawless and I will like to appeal to the electorate to come out and vote for APC candidates,” Olajumoke Olasoju also commented.
Meanwhile the polling agent of the People Democratic Party (PDP), Mrs. Regina Obaja corroborated Olasoju’s claim of peaceful and fair electoral conduct but raised concern about the card reader and urged electorate to come out to vote.
