Ghetto Tigers top scorer, Yakub Shamsu, scored one and was involved in the second goal as Ghetto Tigers FC defeated Future Stars FA 2 – 1 in the final league game of the Davlias Super League.

The final league match of the season saw the first and second placed teams on the league table lock horns with the former needing a win or draw to be crowned Champion while nothing but a win would get the job done for the latter.

With a superior goal difference of +19, goal scoring was never an issue for Ghetto Tigers and the testimony was evident in the less than 2 minutes into the game when they took the lead.

Yakub Shamsu tapped in a cross from Oluwole Babatunde to put the Ghetto Tigers in front and send Future Stars into second place.

After several attempts to extend their lead were unsuccessful, Future Stars knocked in their equalizer to send them back to the summit of the league table. The first half ended with 1 – 1 goals.

The head coach of Ghetto Tigers FC must have reminded his team of the consequence of finishing the game in a draw as the team came into the second half with a renewed energy.

It did not take long before a penalty was awarded to the team as Future Stars central defender Hassan brought down Yakub Shamsu who was through on goal in the penalty box.

Ghetto Tigers player, Soetan Taiwo, sent the Future Star goalkeeper the wrong way to put the Tigers in front and changed the destination of the trophy for the 3rd time in the game.

The change will last till the end of the game as no side was able to convert any further attempt. 2 – 1 was how the game ended in favor of Ghetto Tigers FC.

The Tigers finished the Davlias season without losing a single match.
