While waiting for the local government election to hold July 24, the chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Ejigbo branch, Rev. Stephen Oyinlola has charged the would-be winners to be godly in their administration.
He advised them to ensure good governance by allowing guidance from God and do away with anything that could tarnish and dent their administration.
Oyinlola said the predestined assignment every individual is meant to actualise is what is presently manifesting in them while advising candidates that are yet to reach certain desired post to have faith in the greatness of God.
He said: “Successful candidates should ensure they execute all what God has sent them to do because God does not tolerate derailed leaders. They are positioned to spread the will of the Lord in multitude in every corner of human existence in which they reach, the reason being that God said: ‘Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests but also for the interests of others’ Philippians 2:3-4.'”
Meanwhile, the clergyman has congratulated the winners of the All Progressives Congress (APC) party primaries held on Saturday last week even as they await the official announcement of the results.
