May 27 of every year is a day set aside in Nigeria to commemorate and celebrate with children and according to the manager of the hotel Mr Peter Onah-Moses, the fete is one of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR) activities.

Moses explained that the celebration became more important for the company out of its much belief in the future leaders.

His words: “Although our hotel is new in the locality as it’s just 6 months old, we understand the importance of CSR to our host community and we see this year’s children’s day anniversary as a way of giving back to the community most especially because the children are the leaders of tomorrow. We realised that more love and support needs to be shown to them, hence the need for our partnership with Wazobia Foundation for the project.”

Also speaking the founder of Wazobia Foundation, Mrs. Georgina Eigbe explained that the celebration was necessary in order to cater for the regular absence of fun for the children in the area on a day like this.
