Extra Quality Ramadan cup: Wasiu Oladimeji, Omoshola Taiwo saves the day for Diadem Stallion with heroic breathtaking performance

Diadem Stallion came back from an uphill task against Utility Sport by equalizing from two goals down to defeat Utility Sport via penalty shootout.

Utility Sport surrendered a two goal lead in the first half, Diadem Stallion equalized in the second half and forced the game to penalty shootout which was eventually won by the Royal Blues (Diadem Stallion).

Diadem Stallion duo of Omoshola Taiwo and Wasiu Oladimeji gave fascinating performance as their team scale through to the final of the Extra Quality Ramadan cup.

Utility Sport broke the deadlock in the 10th minute through Akpan Michael who scored from the penalty spot after Diadem Stallion Adetayo Bello brought him down in the 18 meter box.

The early goal brought some relief to Utility Sport who are a energetic and restless side, who never give up until the final whistle is blown.

Diadem Stallion failed to get their momentum in the first half as Utility doubled their lead in the 38th minute through Wisdom Omorodion to give his side a two goal cushion lead.

Dazzling and tricky winger Omoshola Taiwo provided a relief to Diadem Stallion by pulling a goal back at the start of the second half.

Omoshola Taiwo grabbed his brace of the match with a fascinating goal by dribbling past two defenders before finding the roof of the net.

The center referee issued a straight red card to a player of Diadem Stallion for indiscipline in the later stages of the game which reduced the Royal Blues to ten men.

The game couldn’t provide a winner in 90 minutes as it proceeded to penalty shootout.

Diadem Stallion goal custodian, Wasiu Oladimeji made two stunning heroic saves in the penalty shootout as his team defeated Utility Sport 4-1 in the penalty shootout.
