A councillorship aspirant soliciting for the support of party leaders under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), James Akindele, has said that the development of his ward is the focus of his ambition.

Akindele, who is known as Alapoti in his community, is running to represent Afariogun ward D2B in Oshodi-Isolo LGA.

He said he is aspiring to ensure that his ward is properly represented in governance and that it is not denied its share of development.

He stressed that his people deserve to enjoy the dividends of democracy and that is the main reason he stepped out to give the people the proper representation they need in the matters pertaining to law making that will positively affect their community development.

“I am going for the councillorship position to contribute positively to the laws that will bring about development in my ward which will meet the yearnings of my people.”

He promised to facilitate road and drainage rehabilitation which, he said, are of paramount importance to his community, adding that he would also embark on programmes for the women and youths to take the people out of poverty.

He said: “I can’t promise a lot but I will do my best within my capacity to ensure that my ward is well represented in the governance of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government.

“I’m waiting for the party’s guidelines for the primary election, once it is released, I will immediately kick off my campaign. And with the support of the people, my desired aim to give good representation to my ward will become a reality.”
