Dignitaries extolled the virtues and contributions of late founder of the Salvation Church of the Lord International, Late Archbishop Peter Fabusoro to the community as they launched a foundation in his name.

Former Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Kehinde Bamigbetan spoke glowingly about the support given to his administration when he was the chairman of the Ejigbo Local Council Development Area between 2008 and 2014.

In particular, he recalled how the late Fabusoro had led a seven day intercession to open divine goodwill and blessing to the local government, an intervention which was followed by the release of funds of Lagos State local government seized by the Obasanjo regime by the Yar’adua administration.

He said the release enabled his administration to fulfil its electoral promises including the construction of two new public primary schools, three health care centres, six public toilets, roads and many welfare services.

He donated N150, 000 to the Fabusoro Foundation and the family donated N1, 500,000.

Also speaking, the former chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN for Oke-Afa/ Jakande district, Pastor Ilesanmi praised the late Fabusoro for his exemplary leadership qualities that made it easy to mobilise Christians across all denominations to a viable, unified Christian body.

Noting that the excellent relationship built by the deceased with the local government brought recognition to the CAN in the area, he urged the consolidation of the church in memory of the late founder.

Both commiserated with the widow, Bishop Mrs Victoria Fabusoro and prayed that God give her the strength to bear the loss.

Remembering his father, Leye Fabusoro praised him as a good father who loved his children and imparted in them the virtues of hardwork, humility and courage.
