Four months after the demise of the former Chief Imam of Isolo, Sheikh Ahmad Olanrewaju Sadiq, a new Chief Imam has been installed.
The new Chief imam, Sheikh Qasim Abayomi Hassan Ajiyan, has was installed on Sunday as the third substantive Chief Imam of local council area with his deputy, Alhaji Ridwan Olanrewaju Erinfolami.
Ajiyan, born on Thursday, June 28, 1981, is the youngest religious leader to be installed Chief Imam in the community having grown up in Isolo and rose through the ranks to attain the position.
The 40-year old Imam had served as the Deputy-Chief Imam to the immediate past imam.
Ajiyan had his First School Leaving Certificate from Ansar-Ud-Deen Primary School and his Senior Secondary Certificate School Education from Ansar-Ud-Deen College in Isolo and Ijeshatedo Grammar School.
He later proceeded to Lagos State University (LASU) where he obtained B.Sc in Islamic Studies.
In Arabic education, Ajiyan had his Walimotul Quran at Raodotul Ta’leemul Arobiy wal Islamiy, Isolo in December 1989 when he was nine years old before proceeding to Daaru-Dawah Wal Irshad Institue of Arabic and Islamic Studies where he bagged Sanawiyah in 1998.
His historical installation had in attendance the Osolo of Isolo; the host monarch, HRM Oba Kabiru Alani Kolawole Agbabiaka, the Chief Imam of Lagos, His Eminence, Alhaji Chief Sulaimon Oluwatoyin Abou-Nolla, the Mudeer Daru Da’Wah Wal-Irshad, Sheikh Ridwanullahi Mustapha Zuglool Sunusi, the State Chairman, Lagos State Police Eminent Persons Forum, Alhaji Shamusideen Koleosho who is the Ekeerin Adinni of Isolo Central Mosque, and other dignitaries.
