Obey party rules,  stakeholders urge new APC interim caretaker C’ttee

The newly inaugurated members of the interim caretaker committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) party, Oke-Afa Ward have been urged to respect the constituted authority and do their jobs diligently.

The committee was recently inaugurated to oversee the party’s activities at the ward level following the directive by the party leadership to dissolve the elected executive members of the party ahead of its next conventions.

The APC Treasurer, Ejigbo LCDA, Wasiu Atinsola, urged the newly appointed caretaker committee to respect the constituted authority of the party and be steadfast in promoting the party in Oke-Afa ward.

Admonishing the committee, the Secretary to the Local Government (SLG) of Ejigbo LCDA Paul Fregene appealed to the members to mobilize people to join the party to ensure victory during the coming local government elections and other subsequent elections, so that the party can continue to deliver the dividend of democracy.

He also pleaded with the caretaker committee to show total loyalty to the party and abstain from anti-party activities.

The chairman of the committee, Mr. Oluwaseun Dejo, in a chat with ECHONEWS, said he was satisfied with the decision of the party to cut short their tenure as elected officials of the party and appointed them as caretaker committee.

According to him, it is the party that gave him the platform to serve as an executive member of the party, saying the decision was in the best interest of the party.

He pledged to move the party forward by mobilising residents of Oke-Afa ward to register and prepare for elections.

Equally speaking, the Women Leader of APC in Oke-Afa ward, Mrs. Oluwatoyin Onabanjo said she has mobilised more women to join the party and key into the vision of the APC.

The party Youth Leader, Mr. Babatunde Sanni said youths have been canvassed to join the party to let them know how progressive the APC is and to also move the party forward in gaining electoral wins.
