A councillorship aspirant in Akinbaiye Ward, Hon. Yusuf Abolaji, is urging the incumbent to step down for him as pay back for his decision to allow him to clinch the ticket in 2017.
Abolaji said he is sure of the party’s support for his candidacy having bowed to party’s supremacy during the last election to allow the incumbent councillor to go for a second term.

Promising to make human development his priority if elected, the aspirant said he will work towards quality representation and improve on what  the ward is currently enjoying.

He said though the incumbent councillor, Idris Agbabiaka, has been performing well, he intends to continue the race with more innovative ideas.

He also commended the council chairman, Hon. Shamnsudeen Olaleye, saying he has really done greatly for the ward in terms of infrastructural development and youth empowerment.
