Apart from these, Ariyoh also presented new official cars to 15 heads of departments in the local government secretariat.

While presenting the cars, the council chairman appreciated the contribution of the HODs and the entire staff to the the council area, urging them to strive for the best while discharging their duties.

He specifically commended the HODs of Health and Environmental Services for their historic efforts and roles in combating COVID-19.

He therefore reiterated his commitment to the welfare of the staff and the development of the entire local government area.

Meanwhile, the residents have called the attention of the government to the deplorable state of the Ogunoloko Road linking Lemo Street and the damaged culverts on both sides.

They said the road/culverts have been abandoned for almost five years since they were repaired by a philanthropist.

They appealed to the council chairman to upgrade the road and repair culverts as part of his ongoing projects.

They said: “It has been almost 4-5 years since the road/culvert at Ogunoloko linking Lemo Street was single-handedly repaired by an Individual as it was totally neglected for years till he came to our rescue.

“We would like to draw the authority’s attention to this said road as it was totally destroyed by a trailer conveying gravel. That spot have become a selling place.

“We strongly appeal to the authority to come to our rescue and help repair the road.”
