Alhaja Mulika, the wife of the late foremost leader of the Shogunle community, Alhaj Sheifu Aremu Yekini has said that he traded banters and joked with neighbour’s hours before he passed away peacefully in his sleep.
He was 86.
According to her,” Alhaji’s death was a big surprise, one which I have never witnessed before. He was lively and humorous with everyone around him before he went to bed. He breathed his last without prior notice.
Until his death at age 86, he attended meeting concerning the growth and development of the community because he loved to see things change for good.”
His ceaseless effort and roles played in the growth and development of Shogunle and Oshodi at large cannot be over emphasized.”
The entire Oshodi Community, the executive chairman of Oshodi- Isolo local government, Hon.Bolaji Muse Ariyoh, the Shogunle ward council, Hon Femi Mustapha, the Community Development Committee/Association (CDC/CDA) and others sent in their condolences to the family.
They prayed that Allah should grant him rest and give the family he left behind the fortitude to bear the loss.
