The chairman of Professional Carpenters and Furniture Makers Association (PCFA), Isolo Zone 1, Mr. Fasasi Dada, has advised all members of the association to maintain relationship with their customers through social media such as Whatsapp and SMS to remain in business during and after the Covid-19 pandemic crisis.
Dada gave this advice while enumerating the costly effects that the lockdown has had on the carpentry business in the locality.
He said one of the ways for members of the association to quickly get back on track as soon as the pandemic is solved is to always extend regards to their customers via SMS, WhatsApp and any other social medium in order to sustain and strengthen the formerly established value-exchanging relationship between them.
According to him, ‘Our craft is one of the many professions coronavirus pandemic and the resultant lockdown affected badly. During the lockdown, we couldn’t go out for any business activities and that blocked our income and you can imagine the negative effect on our families.
“Not until this virus is completely wiped out, our business may not return to normal as it used to be. Though, some of us have been able to do little work since the lockdown was eased. We take the advantage of the window to get the materials we need when the market is opened to do the petty jobs we have but, until this pandemic is completely eradicated, we can’t we can get our business back.
“It is on the basis of optimism that everything will be restored soon and I will advise members of the association to brace up and keep in touch with their customers, extend regards to them via text messages, WhatsApp and other social media in order to strengthen the relationship and make it business as usual with them in the aftermath of this crisis.”
