Councillor feeds 200 people in Ewu

No fewer than 200 people benefitted from the foods distributed by the councillor representing Ewu Ward E2, Hon. Seyi Jaiyesim as part of his contributions to cushion the effect of the lockdown due to coronavirus pandemic.

 

The councilor, who is the Majority Leader of the House, said he was optimistic that the country would soon combat the virus, adding that the disease could be defeated if people cooperate, work together and comply with the government’s directives.

 

Hr urged the community members to take precautions, avoid panic and abide by the stay-at-home and social distancing orders of the government so as to avoid the spread of the virus.

“I understand that this lockdown will have adverse effects on the people especially the less privileged in the community. It is therefore important that we find a way to help one another through this trying period just as I have done.”

 

The food items distributed includes 5kg bag of rice, 5kg bag of beans, five sachets of tomato paste, four sachets of vegetable oil, one sachet of granulated sugar, one sachet of salt and one big spaghetti pack for each person packed in a carton.

 

Beneficiaries are full of praises as they expressed their joy over the relief materials that were distributed to them to support them as the stay at home.
