Covid-19: Ejigbo, Jalisco stadia closed
The Ejigbo mini Stadium and Jalisco Stadium, Oshodi, venues of regular games, have been locked in conformity with the government’s directives against social gathering as a measure to curb the spread of the deadly coronavirus.
All sport activities have been put on hold till solution is found to the virus according to the managements of the stadia.
Speaking, the manager of the Ejigbo mini stadium, Gbenga Popoola said: “I was given a directive from the Lagos State Ministry of Sports to lockdown the stadium to curb the spread of coronavirus, though some athletes tried to gain entrance into the stadium but when they found out that it was locked, they turned back home.”

An official of Jalisco stadium, Oshodi who spoke on the condition of anonymity said: “We decided to lockdown the stadium when we saw that people defied the earlier order that all sport activities should be closed for now. So, we decided that the best way to stop people from coming here is to close it down and you can see that it’s under lock.”
