The Late Alhaja Oloori-Agba Sidikat Ayinke Onaopemipo Faronbi
There were tributes and commendations by well wishers as the children, grand children and great grand children celebrated the late Alhaja Oloori-Agba Sidikat Ayinke Onaopemipo Faronbi, who died at the age of 87 years on Saturday February 1, 2020 and buried on Saturday, February 8, 2020.
The late matriarch was the wife of late Alhaji Oba Disu-Akanni-Olayiwola-Arimolebiosupa-Faronbi, (Arolagbade-Alagbeji II, the Osolo-of Isolo Kingdom).
Hadja Americana Mama-Oninure Mama-Oba as the late matriarch was fondly called, was born at Akesan Town in Alimosho LGA, Lagos State by Late Chief (Pa) Raheem from Egan Town and Late Madam Bilikisu from Akodu Chieftaincy Family in Akesan Town and Kolugbagbe Chieftaincy Family of Iba Town in Iba LCDA 87 years ago.
She lived her early part of life at Isolo Town where she met her husband and were happily married thereafter.
Alhaja (olori-agba) Sidikat Ayinke Onaopemipo Faronbi was a great enterprising and industrious business woman who dealt in edible rice.
She supplied Ansar-Ud-Deen Primary School their edibles in the early 60s and therefore was nicknamed (Iya-Oniresi).
She was described as a generous person and a devout Muslim. Oloori-Agba was said to love traveling a lot.
She went to Saudi Arabia with her husband in 1977 and traveled repeatedly to United States of America until her demise.
Mama-Oninure was survived by seven (7) successful children including Alhaji-Oba Abeeb Adesina Akolawole Ajani Obaoseparo Adeyemi Faronbi, the Oba-Elect of Oke-Alo / Gbagada /Pedro Mende/Idiroko/Anthony Maryland Kosofe-LGA Lagos); the Head/Oloriebi Adoyi-Alashe Chieftaincy Royal Family Lagos and former Commissioner in the Lagos State Local Government Service Commission representing Ikeja Division of Lagos State.
Other children include Prince Abdulganiyu Olanrewaju Adele Faronbi (USA); Princess Lateefat Faronbi; Princess Sherifat Faronbi; Princess Sinata Faronbi; Prince Nurudeen Adeniyi Faronbi and Princess Raliatu Abolore Faronbi, many grandchildren and grandchildren.
Mama is fondly remembered by children and grandchildren and great grandchildren; Head/Oloriebi Adoyi-Alashe Chieftaincy Royal Family Lagos; Head/Oloriebi and entire members of Alagbeji Chieftaincy Royal Family Lagos; Head/Oloriebi and entire members of Apakun-Osuro Chieftaincy Royal Family of Isolo, Lagos State; Head/Oloriebi and entire members of Fadu Fadu Mewon Chieftaincy Royal Family of Ejigbo Mekun, Lagos; Head/Oloriebi and entire members of Akodu Chieftaincy Royal Family of Akesan Town; Head/Oloriebi and entire members of Kolugbagbe Chieftaincy Royal Family of Iba Town, Iba Lagos and Head/Oloriebi and entire members of Amodu Ejalonibu Faronbi Chieftaincy Royal Family of Isolo.
