Bond FM 92.9, a subsidiary of Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, Lagos Operation has given Awards of commendation to its committed listeners/callers for their dedication and supports.

The Director, FRCN, Lagos Operation, Prince Adeyinka Amosun said the significance of the awards was to make a bond between the radio and the listeners and to make people know that Bond FM is a grassroots radio that makes voice if the people at the grassroots heard by the government.
Amosun dismissed the insinuations that Bond FM is anti-government, saying the some people think so just because the radio is objective and balanced with its reports and messages as it serves as mouth piece of the people.
He stated: “How can we be anti-government when we are government’s own station. Yes Bond FM is for the people, the government created the platform, how can it be anti-government. But the truth is that the radio must continue to balance the message and its reports as an objective station. That is why some people are confused because of its objectivity. We say it as it is, balancing and objectivity.”
speaking about the maiden Awards the General Manager, Bond FM, Princess Wuraola Adegoke, said 30 people from three ethnic groups – Yoruba, Hausa and Igbo were nominated for the awards based in their phoning in records but only 20 were selected based in the number of votes they got over three months.

She said: “Bond FM, in its uniqueness as a dynamic and people-centered radio station, has decided to appreciate you all for being our consistent listeners and clients – the shoulders that enable fitness – because without you, there is no us.
“We appreciate your consistency, your support and patronage, which, as the centerpiece of our very existence, we cannot take for granted.
