Obasa seeks further community support in 2020

The Council Leader, Oshodi-Isolo Local Government, Hon. Rasheed Obasa has commended the residents of the council area for their support to the government in 2019, appealing to them to continue the support in 2020 for a successful local government administration.

While enumerating the achievements of the government in the past year, Obasa said the synergy between the executive and the legislative arms helped foster development in Oshodi-Isolo Local Government, adding that the cooperation and support of the residents also contributed greatly to the achievements.

He noted that the cordial relationship between the two arms of government helped the administration to pass some Bills into bye-laws.

He recalled that about 14 Bills were approved by the council chairman, Hon. Idris Bolaji Muse Ariyoh in 2019 which include the Bills on parking and control of Traffic; merriment/entertainment permit; prohibiting trading around the perimeter fence of public primary schools; environmental sanitation; food stuff and regulated premises; corporate mobile loading and off loading /haulage permit; market regulation; trade license permit; corporate trade permit; control of kiosk, workshop & private lock-up shops; liquor license; radio & television license; street naming as well as Bill on child rights & welfare.

The council leader therefore promised that the legislative arm would continue working in harmony with the executive arm, assuring the chairman that the proposed 2020 budget presented to the House would be given acceleration deliberations
