2024 Olympics Qualifiers: Super Falcons thrash Ethiopia

Nigeria thrashed Ethiopia 4-0 to book a place in the next round of the 2024 Olympics qualifiers.

Rasheedat Ajibade grabbed a brace with a sole goal each from Uchenna Kanu and Asisat Oshoala.

The Super Falcons started the game as the brighter side with some chances created through the midfield combination fluid.

Kanu lashed on a fantastic pass from Tosin Demehin to give the Falcons the lead on the stroke of half time.

Nigeria were able to find their feet in the game following the goal from Kanu which provides the necessary ease for the players.

Oshoala dribbles past her marker to provide an inch perfect assist to Ajibade who wasted no time in doubling the Super Falcons lead in the 50th minute.

Kanu tormented the East Africans defense from the left and gave a sumptuous assist to Oshoala to give Nigeria the third goal of the game in the 68th minute.

Barcelona forward, Oshoala grabbed her second assist of the game by laying a good pass to Ajibade who grabbed her brace for the evening.

The Super Falcons stood tall to see off the challenge from Ethiopia and will setup a next round clash with the winner between Cameroon and Uganda.

The Ugandans have a 2-0 first leg advantage.
