Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has directed the state’s Traffic Management Authority, LASTMA, to intensify it’s efforts in ensuring unhampered night mobility for the residents during the end of the year festivities.
Sanwo-Olu, over the weekend, issued a firm directive to LASTMA to enhance nocturnal traffic monitoring and oversight in strategic areas such as Ikoyi, Lekki, Victoria Island, Ajah.
The Governor charged the agency to curb gridlock in other congestion-prone zones across the metropolis.
Sanwo-Olu disclosed that the measure is planned to prioritize the immediate clearance of obstructions and incidents that could disrupt vehicular and pedestrian movement during and after the yuletide period alongside underscoring his administration’s unwavering commitment in facilitating safe and efficient transportation for residents and visitors.
