Yuletide Season: Abiru Urges Christians On Peace, Unity

Lawmaker representing Lagos East Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Mukhail Abiru, has charged Christians to promote peaceful co-existence in the wake of Christmas and New Year celebration.

Senator Abiru in felicitation of Christians in his senatorial district and Nigeria as a whole, enjoined the religion faithfuls to imbibe in themselves the teachings of Christlike attitude and also contribute to the national growth of the nation.

The legislator laid emphasis on tolerance, love and sacrifice, which according to him are necessities in contributing significantly towards addressing the current economic challenges facing the nation.

In his submission, he said:“I urge the Christian faithfuls to embody the teachings of Jesus Christ, which emphasize sacrifice, nation-building, peaceful co-existence, and unity.

“I deeply empathize with the struggles of my fellow compatriots during this difficult economic period, but I am confident that relief and prosperity are on the horizon as the benefits of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s courageous economic reforms begin to materialize.

“This is the time for Nigerians to demonstrate patience and understanding with the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The crucial economic measures, such as the removal of petrol subsidies, unification of foreign exchange rates, and tax reforms, are essential steps to rescue the nation from economic peril and ensure sustainable growth.

“I celebrate with the esteemed constituents of Lagos East, Lagos State, and indeed all Nigerians as we commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ.

“It is my greatest joy to join you in celebrating this special season.”
