Youths urged to be nation builders

The Youths in Oshodi/Isolo State Constituency have been urged to foster peace and unity so as to become nation builders for a better tomorrow.

This was stated during the annual year celebration of the Youth Ministry of Assemblies of God Church Ejigbo 1 Lagos.

The President of the Youth Ministry, Brother Joel Uguru while delivering his sermon on the theme “Generational Pathfinders” urged the youths to remain resolute and shun evil, stating that the future or the continuity of their generation lies in their hands.

According to him, the joy of every youth is in their strength, for this reason every youth should use their strength to work hard now that it is still bright, rather than indulging themselves in drug abuse, criminal activities, being used by evil politicians who meant no well for the nation.

The Youth President went further to state that the theme generational pathfinder is all about finding a pact by bringing out a solution which will be of a great benefits to their generation and generation to come.

” Youths are solution solvers, adventurous in nature, so they need to act in the fear of the Lord and embrace him so as to contribute to the nation building of their future, as they don’t need to eat their tomorrow today.

“What our youths need are opportunities to showcase their positive talents as the youths are making us proud both locally and internationally, Nigerian youths are showcasing their brilliance around the world.”

Addressing the youths, the Minister in charge, Rev. Zacheaus Owolabi appeal to the youths to ensure that their lifestyle potrays that of Christ, and as future leaders they should prepare themselves ahead of tomorrow.

The Presybeter noted that Nigerian youths are high achievers who are making the country proud, adding that all they need are the opportunities to demonstrate their capabilities.

The Youth Vice President, Sister Divine Nnadi, pointed out that this year the youths decided to embark on a free medical outreach and consultation to the residents of Ejigbo, stating that the essence of the outreach is to touch lives and give back to the society so as to a better tomorrow.

She posited that youths have decided to remember their elderly and loved ones, by taking care of them and ensuring that their health is giving a first priority.
About 150 persons were attended to, some were given drugs for malaria, while others were advised to check their sugar and health status regular.

While commending the youth ministry, one of the beneficiary Brother Henry Chinweoda thank the youths for such a program as it will help people to always check their health status and to those who cannot visit the hospital for lack of funds.
