Workers Safety: LASU Epe Staff Quarters Undergoes Verification Exercise

To provide adequate security for members of staff of Lagos State University, Epe Campus, the management of the institution has conducted a verification exercise to know the actual number of workers and their identities in the estate.

The Estate Unit of Works and Physical Planning, Lagos State University (LASU), in conjunction with the Bursary and Audit Departments of the Institution has successfully conducted a staff quarters verification exercise at the Epe Campus of the University.

According to the Head, Estate Unit, Mr Olalekan Olabisi, the exercise was to ascertain if the occupants were truly bonafidestaff of the University and that the apartments allocated to them were in accordance with the extant regulations of the University.

“The exercise was to determine the total number of apartments allocated, ascertain how much had been deducted from the salaries of each staff that got allocation as well as update the list of all occupants at the Epe campus”, Olabisi stated.

On a final note, he added that the exercise was a routine and one of the responsibilities of the Estate Unit of Works and Physical Planning, Lagos State University.

Others on the verification exercise are Mrs Veronica Ogundele, Estate Unit, Mr. Taiwo Moshood and Mrs Oluwatoyin Oyewusiboth from Audit Department, and Mr M.A Alafin, Bursary Department.
