‘Why I Froze My Eggs – Tiwa Savage Drops Bombshell on Motherhood

Nigerian Afrobeats star Tiwa Savage has revealed that she has frozen her eggs.
The mother of one explained that she took the step as a precaution in case she decides to have more children in the future.
In a candid interview with Zeze Mills, the 42-year-old singer admitted she wished she had done it earlier.
She encouraged women in their 30s to consider freezing their eggs as a way to take charge of their fertility.
Savage said, “Having my first child in my 30s was beautiful because I was more financially and emotionally stable. One advice I will give to women in their 30s is – whether you wanna have children or not, egg freeze.
“I wish I did it earlier. But I’ve done it now. I don’t know if I want more kids but in case I do, I’ve done that [frozen my eggs] just that have that insurance. Because I don’t know if we are born with a certain amount of egg reserves, you could wake up at 36 and your egg reserve is done. And then that’s when you now decide that you want to have kids. So, I’m really a big advocate for egg freezing now.”
Tiwa Savage welcomed her first child at 34 with her then husband, Teebillz, on July 22, 2015.
