Wafu B Champions League: Folajomi Olabiyi Reacts To Her Scoring Against USFA

Delta Queens striker, Folajomi Olabiyi has reacted to scoring her side’s first goal in the Wafu B Champions League qualifiers against USFA.

The forward found the back of the net in the eight minute before further strikes from Chinaza Agoh and Mercy Omokwo round up an impressive performance for the Pearls.

The Delta Queens utility player describes her moments at the regional showpiece as a dream come true and she narrative how she played according to the coaches instructions to help her team win a massive game.

Olabiyi promises to exhibit outstanding performances in their subsequent matches in the tournament until the club emerges champions of the tournament.

“I feel great, and its a dream come true scoring the first goal for my team and the Wafu B as a whole and helping my team secure our first win. I went on to the pitch and played according to the instructions of the coaches, got my first chance of the game and converted successfully,” she told ECHONEWS exclusively.

“Its a great feeling and I’m excited winning the game against USFA from Burkina Faso. We also as a team did our part and came out victorious in the game and I’m looking up to securing more wins with my team in the tournament.

“More of every effort and drive I exhibited in the first game should be expected from me in the next encounter. I promise to give my best and play to ensure Delta Queens emerges champions till the last game of the Wafu B.”

The Pearls will clash with Sam Nelly in their second game at the Wafu B Champions League Qualifiers.
