Nigeria head coach, Randy Waldrum has included eight home based players in the squad called on to execute the Women Africa Cup Of Nations (WAFCON) qualifier against Sao Tome and Principe.
Waldrum called 24 players for the encounter against the True Patriots Ladies which will be held at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan on Friday September 22.
The winner of the two legged tie will face the winner between Cape Verde and Liberia in the second round slated for November 27 to December five.
Leading the home based players is experienced defender, Akudo Ogbonna, Monle Oyono, Esther Onyenezide, Opeyemi Ajakaye, Flourish Sebastine, Chiamaka Okuchukwu, Jumoke Alani and Comfort Folorunsho.
Below is the full list of invited players;
Goalkeepers: Chiamaka Nnadozie, Tochukwu Oluehi and Monle Oyono
Defenders: Onome Ebi, Akudo Ogbonna, Comfort Folorunsho, Jumoke Alani, Michelle Alozie, Tosin Demehin and Rofiat Imuran.
Midfielders: Peace Efih, Esther Onyenezide, Christy Ucheibe, Rasheedat Ajibade, Tony Payne and Regina Otu.
Forwards: Asisat Oshoala, Opeyemi Ajakaye, Chiamaka Okuchukwu, Ifeoma Onumonu, Vivian Ikechukwu, Gift Monday and Flourish Sebastine.
