Wafa League: FC Phoenix Queens defeats Heroes Queens as Lakeside Queens settled for draw against Aseyori Queens

FC Phoenix Queens showed their worth away from home as they came from a goal down to defeat Heroes Queens 2-1 at Ojoku secondary school, Ajegunle.

Emele Miracle put the host team, Heroes Queens ahead in the 7th minute with a great finish.

FC Phoenix Queens got their self together and began dominating the game before been awarded a penalty in the 30th minute, which Tawa Animashaun made no mistake from the penalty spot to equalize for the away side.

FC Phoenix Queens got another lifeline in the 72nd minute as they got another penalty, which Tawa Animashaun converted clinically to give the Ghandi girls the lead in the game.

The coach Ahmad Abioye tutored FC Phoenix Queens held on to their lead as they got a well deserved 3 point away from home and Chinaza Okeke won the player of the game in a tense encounter.

Aseyori Queens squandered a two goal lead as Lakeside Queens rallied back and equalize in the game.

Despite conceding two early goals, Lakeside Queens muster confidence and added pressure to Aseyori Queens as Precious Solomon pulled a goal back.
