Vocational Trainees In Ifako-Ijaiye To Get Start-Up Kits

The Chairman of Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government, Prince Usman Akanbi Hamzat – UAH, paid a visit to the Vocational Training Center where a 3-Week Vocational Training program is currently ongoing.

Echonews reports that the training is in partnership with Bet9ja Foundation, which is aimed at equipping youth and the unemployed in Ifako-Ijaiye with practical skills in Metal Work (Welding) and Wood Work (Carpentry).

 

“This training program is a testament to our administration’s commitment to youth development and empowerment,” the Chairman said.

“We are not only teaching them valuable skills but also nurturing responsible citizenship and ethical conduct. Our ultimate goal is to enhance social cohesion and contribute to community development.” – Prince Usman

Upon completion of the training, each trainee will receive a startup kit to help them practice their newly acquired skills. This initiative aims to decrease unemployment and foster financial independence among the youth.

The Chairman ensured the trainees of the Local Government’s support and encouragement, urging them to take the training seriously and make the most of the opportunity.

The Three Weeks Vocational Training program is a flagship initiative of the Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government, in partnership with Bet9ja Foundation, aimed at empowering youth and promoting community development.
