Victory Queens Emerges Champions Of Afusat Olabimpe Abiodun Female Gold Cup

Victory Queens defeated Unification Ladies via penalty shootout to win the fourth edition of the Afusat Olabimpe Abiodun Female Gold at Strong Towers Academy football pitch, Ikorodu.

The encounter which was eventually won by Victory Queens 4-2 in penalty shootout saw both teams showing discrepancies in their playing style.

Unification Ladies shot stopper, Ifeoluwa Olufemi made history of not conceding a goal in the entire tournament which makes it consecutive feat in two editions of the tournament as she was awarded the best goalkeeper of the tournament.

Victory Queens goalkeeper, Zainab Kazeem won the Most Valuable Player of the competition as she went home with N100,000 and an opportunity to advance her career in Egypt or Saudi Arabia women’s topflight league, her teammate, Ebunoluwa Akinola scooped the highest goal scorer award after topping the goal scorers chart with ten goals.
