Unification Ladies Emerge Champions Of SJ Football Championship

The Seyi Jakande Football Championship brought together four fierce women’s teams Unification Ladies, Ghetto Tigers Ladies, FC Phoenix Queens, and Ablaze Amazons for a thrilling round-robin tournament.
The competition which was held at the Jide Sanwo-Olu Arena, Ilupeju to celebrate Nigeria’s 65th year independent anniversary was full of glitz and glamour to the passionate fans.
The stakes were high, the crowds electric, and the players ready to leave it all on the pitch. By the end, it was Unification Ladies who lifted the coveted trophy, their journey a testament to grit, teamwork, and unshakable resolve.
Unification Ladies won the SJ Football Championship with five points from three matches but superior goal advantage over their opponents ensured the Agege club side won the inaugural SJ Football Championship.
Ghetto Tigers Ladies came second with five points out of three games with a lesser goal difference to the winner.
FC Phoenix Queens came third with spirited performance as they accumulated five points from three matches.
Ablaze Amazons finished bottom on the league standings with no points and lost three matches.
