U20 World Cup: Flying Eagles touch down Buenos Aires for Brazil clash

The Nigeria U20 side touched down the city of Buenos Aires Argentina on Thursday May 25 for their last group game clash against Brazil.

The Flying Eagles had their first two games against Dominican Republic and Italy at Mendoza and will take on Brazil at Buenos Aires.

Nigeria recorded a 2-1 win against Dominican Republic before stunning Italy 2-0 in their second game to register their place at the round of 16 of the U20 FIFA World Cup.

The Ladan Bosso tutored side will be aiming to have a perfect nine points record in the group as they take on five time champions Brazil in the last group game.

The game against the Brazilians will be a tough call as they are also chasing a win to guarantee their place in the next round.

Nigeria have never defeated and the Seleção Sub-20 at the U20 FIFA World Cup in five meetings (1983, 1985, 1987, 2005, 2015) as Brazil defeated the Flying Eagles in four matches and one (2005) ending in a draw.

Two time finalists, Nigeria will be hoping to clinch the U20 World Cup after dominating the U17 stage with five titles.
