Two cultists suspected to belong to the Eiye confraternity have been arrested in Mushin by the Police according to its state command in Lagos.

The cultists were alleged to be on a revenge mission over the loss of one of their members when they were apprehended by the Police.

Lagos Police spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed the news of their arrest.

Hundeyin said the Police swung into action when they learned the suspects were on the verge of killing their rival group gang.

The Lagos Police image maker added that the suspects were arrested at Mushin Bus Stop by Olosan police operatives with one locally made pistol.

He said they confessed to being members of the Eiye confraternity, terrorising Abattoirs in the Agege area.

Hundeyin said the suspects confessed further that the gun was purchased at Mushin to revenge the death of one of their members, who was killed by Aiye members in Abattoir, Agege.

He explained that the arrest of the suspects saved the area from another crisis as there would have been another bloody clash between the two rival groups.

He warned that the police would not tolerate any form of cult activities in the state.

He added that those who want to practice any kind of violence should either relocate from Lagos or risk the wrath of the command.
