Two Passengers Hospitalized After Auto crash In Mile 2

A driver and passenger suffering severe degrees of injuries have been rushed to the hospital following an autocrash during the weekend.

The incident, which happened following a collision between two vehicles was said to have been caused by reckless overspeeding and brake failure injuring the duo, while others were rescued unscatched.

At the scene on Olorunshogo Bus Stop, a driver rammed a Toyota Camry car onto a stationary Scania truck resulting in a mob of emergency responders rescuing the victims to Ademola Hospital for urgent medical intervention.

Commenting on the incident, the Spokesperson to the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, LASTMA, Adedayo Taofiq, disclosed that police officers from the Ijanikin Division provided security support and held the driver of the stationary truck who was taking into custody by LASTMA officials.

Taofiq urged motorists against reckless driving, disclosing that excessive speeding and mechanical negligence remain wholly avoidable precursors to tragic road disasters.

The spokesperson advised drivers to obey speed limits and carry out routine vehicle maintenance.
