Two Allegedly Steal Welding Tools, Face Court Prosecution

The Magistrates’ Court in Ikorodu is prosecuting two suspects who have been accused of stealing welding tools in Ikorodu.
At the sitting, Police Prosecutor, ASP Aminu Issac, disclosed the suspects as – Stephen Agwu and Gambo Ibrahim of ages 19 and 27 respectively.
Issac added that the stolen items are worth N755,000.
The Prosecutor said that the defendants are charged with conspiracy, felony, breach of peace and stealing, which they pleaded not guilty to.
However, the counsel claimed that the duo committed the offences on February 10, at Government Technical College, Ikorodu, Lagos.
Isaac said that Agwu stole five welding machines, two grinding machines and eight lengths of 16mm iron rod, all belonging to Government Technical College, Ikorodu. The prosecutor further stated that Ibrahim received all the items knowing full well that they were stolen from the school.
The Prosecutor informed that the offence contravened Section 411, 287 and 328 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
Magistrate Bola Sonuga, who presided over the matter granted the defendant bail in the sum of N500,000 with a surety in like sum.
The case is to come up next on March 13.
