A chaotic Monday morning unfolded in Ejigbo approximately as a ghastly accident involving a truck with failed brakes brought traffic to a standstill. The incident, which occurred between Zenith Bank and GB Supermarket, resulted in the toppling of two electric poles and a significant disruption to commuters.

According to a reliable source, the truck’s brakes failed, causing it to swerve and collide with the median’s electric pole. The force of the impact was so severe that it brought down not one, but two poles, spilling their contents across both sides of the road.

The immediate aftermath was a heavy traffic jam that quickly extended along the axis. Even vehicles attempting to drive towards Jakande Estate gate were compelled to turn back from the PPMC’s junction, highlighting the widespread impact of the accident.

In a swift response, the affected stretch of the road has been cordoned off by Zenith Bank to ensure public safety. As of the time of this report, Lastma officials were already on the scene, diligently working to control the gridlock and manage the flow of traffic. Commuters are advised to seek alternative routes to avoid further delays.
