The Lagos State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has reiterated its confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, describing his leadership as a transformative force shaping Nigeria’s long-term development. As political debates intensify ahead of 2027, supporters argue that Tinubu’s mandate is not confined to a single electoral cycle, but represents a broader agenda for national restructuring, economic revitalisation, and social renaissance.

From infrastructure to security, foreign policy to economic management, President Tinubu has taken decisions that previous administrations avoided. While some policies have introduced temporary discomforts, proponents argue these are necessary steps to lay the foundation for sustainable growth. Under his stewardship, Nigerians are beginning to see tangible improvements in stability, opportunity creation, and national competitiveness.

The recent economic projections by financial analyst Bismarck Rewane have further reinforced the positive trajectory of the Tinubu administration. Rewane highlighted ongoing reforms, strengthened fiscal discipline, increased investor confidence, and stabilising macroeconomic indicators as clear signs that Nigeria’s economy is responding to strategic interventions. The decline in inflation to 14.45% in November is cited as evidence of early but tangible impact, demonstrating that reforms, not political noise, are driving results. Rewane further projects that Nigeria is on course for sustained GDP growth, improved foreign exchange stability, better inflation management, and rising capital inflows as structural reforms take hold. These forecasts underline the notion that short-term challenges are giving way to a more resilient, competitive, and productive economy.

While the opposition focuses on the 2027 election, President Tinubu continues to prioritise long-term nation-building. Investments in agriculture, manufacturing, digital transformation, security architecture, transportation, and social inclusion are designed to create a legacy that will outlast political cycles. Critics may manufacture narratives, but many Nigerians see the difference between governance and rhetoric. Sustainable development, supporters argue, requires foresight, resilience, and courage—qualities they say Tinubu has consistently demonstrated.

The Lagos APC praises the President’s efforts to strengthen national security, diversify the economy, expand revenue, restore investor confidence, and re-establish Nigeria’s place on the global stage. Results are emerging sector by sector, project by project, and policy by policy, a progress further confirmed by independent economic observers like Bismarck Rewane. The party calls on Nigerians to remain patient, steadfast, and optimistic as the country navigates the path toward greater economic and social prosperity.
