Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to commission key legacy projects of the Babajide Sanwo Olu administration during his first official visit to Lagos State.

The projects will be inaugurated during the President’s two day visit, according to the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, who disclosed details at a press briefing in Alausa.

Among the projects slated for commissioning are the Ojota Opebi Link Bridge, the Lagos State Geographic Information Service building, and the Lagos Multi Agency Building.

Other projects include the Lagos Fresh Food Hub in Abijo, the regenerated Tolu Schools Complex in Ajegunle, and the Maracana Stadium, which features 19 mini football pitches.

Omotoso said the projects reflect the administration’s commitment to infrastructure development, improved mobility, and enhanced living standards for residents.

He noted that the Ojota Opebi Link Bridge was designed to ease traffic congestion along major corridors such as Ojota, Maryland, Mende, Opebi, and Allen, creating a more direct connection between Ikeja’s central business district and surrounding residential areas.

The commissioner added that the project, originally conceived over two decades ago, was revived and completed under the current administration as part of long term urban planning efforts.

Highlighting the impact of the Tolu Schools Complex, Omotoso said the upgraded facility now caters to about 20000 pupils, with improved infrastructure and inclusive features for persons living with disabilities.

He explained that the Multi Agency Building would enhance coordination among government agencies, while the Lagos Fresh Food Hub would strengthen food distribution and access within the Eti Osa corridor.

Omotoso emphasised that the visit underscores strong collaboration between the Federal Government and Lagos State, adding that the projects represent enduring investments aimed at economic growth and social development.

He assured residents that adequate security, logistics, and traffic management plans had been put in place to ensure a smooth and safe visit, while urging the public to cooperate with authorities, especially in areas where temporary traffic adjustments may occur.
