Tinubu travels out Bamigbetan condoles mentor
There were indications that bereaved National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu may travel out of the country soon to reduce traffic to his Bourdillon Ikoyi residence by millions of sympathisers nationwide.
Reports gathered by Echonews indicate that party members across the country have been phoning in to notify him of delegations being arranged to pay condolence visits.
The pressure mounted as more sympathisers and close associates mourn the death of Asiwaju ‘s first son, Jide.
Special Adviser to Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode on Communities & Communications Kehinde Bamigbetan described the late son as a gentle, easy-going and humble gentleman.
He said Jide’s death reminds all ” that human existence is contingent”.
Bamigbetan, who served Tinubu as press secretary to the governor from 2005 to 2007 prayed for the repose of the deceased’s soul.
The pressure on Asiwaju to travel came from close aides who believed the throng of sympathisers may be so strong that it would wear him out
