Tinubu Applauds Lagos for Setting High Standard in Project Delivery
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed satisfaction with the steady growth and transformation of Lagos State, recalling the groundwork his administration once laid for its modern development during his time as governor.
Speaking at the commissioning of several projects in Lagos, the President described the Ojota to Opebi link bridge as a significant development that goes beyond physical infrastructure, noting that it opens up opportunities, supports business activities, and enhances the standard of living for residents.
He was represented at the event by Senate President Godswill Akpabio. Tinubu emphasized that smooth and efficient transportation is vital to economic growth, especially in a busy and fast growing city like Lagos. He explained that when movement is seamless, productivity increases and daily life becomes more convenient for residents.
The President also commended the Lagos State Government for prioritizing people centered development, saying the delivery of these projects reflects a clear commitment to addressing the city’s mobility challenges. He noted that the progress recorded shows deliberate efforts to improve infrastructure for the benefit of the people.
Tinubu further highlighted the Lagos State Geographic Information Service building as an important step toward modernizing land administration. According to him, embracing digital tools and accurate data is key to effective planning and sustainable economic development.
He explained that the projects align with his Renewed Hope agenda, which is focused on building a more modern, technology driven, and economically strong nation. He added that the quality and standard of the projects demonstrate a model that other states should seek to replicate.
The President also expressed gratitude for the decision to name the new administrative complex in his honour, saying he accepted the recognition with appreciation and humility.
