The rise of SGH Sports Academy

SGH Sports ACADEMY is a football institution based in Egbeda, Alimosho LGA. The academy overtime has grown leaps and bounds while there have been remarkable achievements recorded in last quarter 2020 till presence with one being the transfer of Ezekulie Martins Uche to Brasil for further football development and Domestic permanent transfer of Adanna Nwachukwu, Amina Bello & Anani Oluwaseun to Naija Ratels FC of ABUJA.

The head coach of the male side, Mr Hammed Timilehin Emmanuel popularly known and addressed as “puma” also bagged his advanced coaching certificate from the national institute for sports (NIS) Lagos.

The academy also struck a deal with prosoccer for live updates and streaming of matches with a few of the players awaiting feedback from foreign partners who were convinced with the performances on display while on official scouting visit to the state.

The male team know as the “Godly Boys” are topping league table of Ultimate League 2021.

The pioneer of the academy, Mr Bakare Temitayo Sharafadeen stated to our correspondent that, they are in talks with foreign partners as to reaching an agreement in promoting their youngsters.

The Godly boys and girls as they are fondly called is a team to watch out for as they gradually stamp their presence amongst the elites in the state and country at large.

The Godly Girls on their part also are progressing as they reached the quarter finals of LIKEZEDE INVITATION CHAMPIONSHIP held at coca cola arena at gbagada, They also got to round 16 of prestigious EKOFOOTBALL QUEENS CHAMPIONSHIP 2021. It should be recalled that the girls were as well present at the biggest female preseason tournament in the country, The Flying Officer’s Cup which was held at the nation’s capital in Abuja as well participated in WAFA PRESEASON TOURNAMENT 2021 were they lost on penalty in final to become second runners up.

The female team participated in WGB Lagos FA CUP 2021 losing their game against Papa English soccer.
