The Lagos State Teaching Service Commission has reopened its recruitment portal as a significant move to enhance access to job opportunities.

The portal will be available from Tuesday, July 1 to Monday, July 14, 2025.

In a statement on Tuesday, the Head of the Public Affairs Unit at TESCOM, Olaoye Olusegun, said the initiative is designed to ensure fairness and inclusiveness in the state’s teaching workforce. It also supports the state’s employment policies and digital transformation goals.

During a press briefing, the Chairman of the Teaching Service Commission, Mrs. Victoria Mopelola Peregrino, announced that the portal will feature a simple interface, inclusive tools, and data driven insights to support effective workforce planning.

She said: “What sets this portal apart is its user-friendly interface, and a commitment to inclusivity, ensuring that youth, people with disabilities, and other marginalised groups have equal access to employment opportunities.

“This initiative aligns with the broader goals of the state’s employment policies and digital transformation agenda. It will serve not only as a teacher’s replacement platform, but also as a data-driven tool to assist workforce planning and evidence-based policymaking.”

She reaffirmed the commitment of the Lagos State Teaching Service Commission to fostering an inclusive, transparent, and accessible system where citizens—particularly young people—can apply for teaching positions, pursue meaningful careers, and contribute to both state and national development.

The job portal, open for a two-week period from Tuesday, July 1 to Monday, July 14, 2025, is designed to serve as a centralized platform for individuals seeking entry level teaching roles (GL08) in their areas of expertise.

She encouraged qualified applicants, particularly those with a degree in Education and other necessary credentials, to visit the portal at https://tescomjobs.lagosstate.gov.ng to submit their applications.
