Teenager In Court Over Razor Blade Assault

A teenager, Temitope Olamoru, has been held for prosecution for allegedly assaulting a girl with razor blade in Lagos.
At the Ikeja Magistrates’ Court, Olamoru was said to have caused severe injuries on the victim’s face, neck and hand, as mentioned by the Police Prosecutor, SP Josephine Ikhayere.
Ikhayere also mentioned that the 18 year old suspect is facing charges of causing grievous harm and attempted murder.
“The teenager committed the offence on March 12, at about 10:15 pm at Faiusi Street, in Ajegunle, around the Alakuko area of Lagos,” the prosecutor added.
“He unlawfully attempted to murder one Iremide Olawale by cutting her with a razor blade, thereby unlawfully inflicting injuries on her face, neck and hand, which caused her grievous harm.
“The offence contravenes the provisions of sections 230(b) and 245 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.”
The Presidng Magistrate, Lateef Owolabi, ordered the remand of the defendant and adjouned the case till April 14.
